A Tonal Path
A Tonal Path, Volume 1 contains the Core Levels 1–7. You build musical memory through a simple process: hear the melodic structure, know it, then play it back.
Each exercise is heard first, then played back from memory. A teacher can use the notation to present the exercises, or an independent learner can record them in advance. Choose from standard-notation and guitar-tab editions.

The progression of exercises
Each exercise contains fragments of melody rather than abstract patterns. Through changing modal contexts and, later, a gradually expanding chromatic space, the course is intended to broaden the ear’s sense of melodic possibility.
